Thiago is a Brazilian fighter that is signed with UFC through the welterweight division. Currently MMA Weekly ranks him # 8 in his class. Paulo stands at 5′11, 170lbs. Thiago has been fighting since 2005. Thiago made his professional debut in 2005 during the Storm Samurai 8. In that fight, he took on Ricardo Petrucio and won in three rounds. Overall, his MMA record is a sweet 12-1, with 2 knockouts. In November of 2009, Thiago fought United States fighter Jacob Volkmann and beat him in an unanimous decision. That fight took place in Las Vegas, as part of the UFC 106. Thiago’s full name is Paulo Thiago Alencar Artunes. He will turn 29 years old on January 25th.
