This fight is one of the easier fights to predict on the night. Gonzaga is still on the comeback trail after 2 back to back loses against, Randy Couture and Fabricio Werdum.

In his earlier fights Gonzaga looked very impressive with a string of wins against some quality opposition including Carmelo Marrero and a famous victory against Mirko Cro Cop. These impressive wins gave him a shot at the UFC heavyweight title against Randy Couture but Gonzaga didn’t really perform on the night and ended up being knocked out. After this Gonzaga attempted to rectify a previous loss to Fabricio Werdum but ended up being knocked out.

Josh Hendricks is coming of a ten fight undefeated streak so on paper looks a good match for Gonzaga. But when we looked in to the losses, it really shouldn’t be a difficult night for Gonzaga. Hendricks has lost to three UFC veterans in the past including Sam Hoger and Tom Murphy.

Cause For Concern?

Now we may fancy Gonzaga for the win in this fight, but there is a question mark about his stamina. He has never gone the distance in his fights, most of them have ended in the first round. So there may be some value in putting a small bet on Josh Hendricks, because if this goes in to round three we could see Gabriel tire.

This should prove a easy win for Gonzaga. I’m going for a first or second round win via submission.
