Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Vs Ryan Bader Prediction

The Co-Main Event of the night will see Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, otherwise known as “Little Nog,” face off against Ryan “Darth” Bader. Up until a few months ago, Nogueira probably would have been the favorite heading into this fight, but thanks to his underwhelming performance against Jason Brilz at UFC 114 that is not the case any longer. Ryan Bader has been on a rampage, and is still undefeated in his MMA career. When you mix the aforementioned factors in with serious consequences in the Title hunt, “Little Nog” and “Darth” Bader is sure to be an interesting matchup.

As mentioned before, recent events have made Nogueira the underdog heading into this fight, even though in pretty much every fight since 2008 he has turned in an incredibly dominant performance. Nogueira’s performance against Jason Brilz brought into questioning how well “Little Nog” will compete at the high level of the sport in the UFC, and the betting odds are certainly showing it. There is little doubt in anyone’s mind that Nogueira did not really win the fight against Jason Brilz, and was awarded a bad decision. However, there is also little doubt that he CAN win this fight; the question is WILL he. If Nogueira fights like he did in his last match he’ll probably walk away with his first UFC loss.

Everything looks to be ready for Ryan Bader’s rise to the top, with “Little Nog” just another stepping stone on the road to a title shot. Although Bader struggled to get past Keith Jardine, he eventually finished him and was still likely on his way to winning a decision beforehand. If Bader can get past Nogueira he will have cemented his place amongst the top contenders at 205, and will likely score a bout with another top contender. This is really Ryan Bader’s chance to show the world that he has arrived on the scene.

The fight between Ryan Bader and Rogerio Nogueira should prove to be a true mixed-martial arts contest, as the two men are very well-rounded and complete fighters. Of course there is always the potential for the fight to remain standing the whole time as both of them do enjoy a good boxing match, but when one of them takes gets the advantage the other is likely to see that the fight ends up on the mat. The two will go back and forth for awhile and it will probably end in a very close decision. In a night full of decisions, expect Ryan Bader to walk away with this one with a close, but Unanimous Decision, and keep his perfect record intact.
