UFC 134 Odds

Taking place on the 27th August, UFC 134 will be the second event in the history of the organization to take place in Brazil. Since being announced there have been a number of rumours regarding who would be fighting on what is a card packed full of Brazilian MMA talent. Royce Gracie was tipped to be taking part in the event, but that rumour was quickly quashed by Dana White. The main event features arguably the greatest pound for pound fighter in the world, Anderson Silva against Yushin Okami. The fight will be for the middleweight championship with Silva looking to extend his reign as the number 1 fighter in the world. Other main card bouts include Mauricio Rua Vs Forrest Griffin and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Vs Brendan Schaub. This article will now focus on the UFC 134 Odds, for people looking to bet on UFC 134 or people interested in knowing who is entering the octagon as the favourite, from a UFC 134 betting point of view.

Anderson Silva Vs Yushin Okami Odds
The Anderson Silva Vs Yushin Okami Odds have changed a little since being released. Originally Silva was a huge (-500) favourite. Now people have started to back Okami, as Silva’s odds have dropped to around the (-400) mark. People may be starting to fancy a flutter on Okami after Silva’s “comeback” victory over Chael Sonnen in a fight he was losing until he pulled of a submission victory with only 2 minutes left on the clock.

Silva – (-425) @ Bodog.Com
Okami – (+320) @ Bodog.Com

Forrest Griffin Vs Mauricio Rua Odds;
This is arguably the closest fight on paper. Rua is entering as a moderately sized favourite, which means there is some value in placing a bet on Griffin. Although Rua has the home advantage I think the Rua Vs Griffin odds should be much closer. If you are looking for arguably the best value bet of UFC 134 take the plunge and place a bet on Forrest Griffin.

Griffin – (+175) @ Bodog.Com
Rua – (-225) @ Bodog.Com

Brendan Schaub Vs Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Odds;
The Brendan Schaub Vs Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Oddsare very interesting. From a betting point of view there is definitely value in betting the underdog, Nogueira, who’s odds have stayed fairly stable around the +180 mark. Although Nog probably won’t win this bout, there is no way he deserves to be this much of an underdog. Early bettors seem to be dismissing Nogueira which is very dangerous his recent loss to Cain Velasquez really shouldn’t signal the end of Nogueira’s career.

Schaub - (-225) @ Bodog.Com
Nogueira - (+175) @ Bodog.Com

Edson Barboza Vs Ross Pearson Odds;

Aside from the main event I can see this being the most one sided fight on the main card. Barboza should dominate Pearson in every round of the contest. Barboza is a far superior striker and this should be a stand up fight with Barboza using punches and kicks to out point his British opponent.

Barboza – (-265) @ Bodog.Com
Pearson – (+205) @ Bodog.Com

Luiz Cane vs Stanislav Nedkov Odds;

This should be interesting. Nedkov is a Bulgarian MMA fighter with a record of 11 wins with 9 stoppages. He has gone the distance once. He signed for the UFC a year ago and has been waiting to make his debut, injuries have stalled his expected debut’s in the past. From the fairly limited footage available Nedkov is going to be out of his depth in the UFC. Cane is experienced inside the octagon and should outclass Nedkov fairly easily. Beware though we have an article on “Betting against an Unknown” (available exclusively to newsletter subscribers!)  with examples of fights which have cost bettors in the past!

Luiz Cane vs Stanislav Nedkov Odds;

Cane – (-210) @ Bodog.Com
Nedkov – (+170) @ Bodog.Com

Spencer Fisher Vs Thiago Tavares Odds;

Tavares – (-225)  @ Bodog.Com
Fisher – (+180) @ Bodog.Com

Rousimar Palhares Vs Dan Miller Odds;

Palhares – (-275) @ Bodog.Com
Miller – (+215) @ Bodog.Com
