UFC 119 Odds

UFC 119 is a mixed martial arts event which is taking place at the Consenco FieldHouse in Indianapolis, Indiana in the United States. UFC 119 is significant as it is the first ever UFC event to take place in the state of Indiana. The line up originally featured a headline fight named Nogueira Vs Mir II, a rematch after Mir won their first encounter back at UFC 92 via TKO. Sadly due to a recurring hip injury Nogueira had to pull out, and has been replaced by Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic in what promises to be an exciting UFC heavyweight bout between a big puncher and a submission specialist.

The latest UFC 119 Frank Mir Vs Mirko Filipovic Odds show Mir to be the favourite coming in to the bout, possibly due to Filipovic claiming he doesn’t expect to be 100% ready for the fight as he is joining on such late notice.

Bodog.Com;
Mir – (-205)
Filipovic – (+135)

SportsBook.Com;
Mir – (-205)
Filipovic – (+165)

The second fight on the “ufc 119 main card” features Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Vs Ryan Bader. Nogueira only has 3 losses on a otherwise perfect record of 22 fights with 19 wins and has recently been on a winning streak of 7 fights including a win over Vladimir Matyushenko who inflicted Nogueira’s first loss and a 1st round knockout over Luiz Cane. Bader on the other hand is undefeated with a record of 12 matches 12 victory’s. Now the bookmakers are really having a tough time pricing this fight up and I can see the Antonio Nogueira Vs Ryan Bader Odds drifting and shortening much more then the typical ufc fight. Currently Bader is a small pre-fight favourite.

Bodog.Com;
Bader - (-165)
Nogueira - (+135)

SportsBook.Com;
Bader - (-150)
Nogueira - (+120)

The third fight penned in for UFC 119 features a welterweight rematch between Matt Serra and Chris Lytle. Serra won their first fight by split decision in the ultimate fighter 4 finale. Like the above two fights their really is no “huge” favourite, Lytle is coming in at around -140, with Serra hovering around +115.  Of the two Lytle has the most momentum in the build up to this fight with 3 victory’s on the bounce, but equally so Serra has a victory over St Pierre, although he did lose in a subsequent re-match. It will be an interesting fight for sure from both a betting and viewers perspective.

Anyway here are the latest Matt Serra Vs Chris Lytle Odds;

Bodog.Com;
Lytle – (-145)
Serra – (+115)

SportsBook.Com;
Lytle – (-140)
Serra – (+110)

The fourth fight set to take place at UFC 119 pits the controversial former lightweight champion Sean Sherk Vs Evan Dunham. Sherk is one of the most controversial characters in UFC thanks to a string of drug related issues, he has been suspended for missing a urine sample after a fight and also testing positive for using anabolic steroids. This is the only ufc 119 main card fight in which their is a “big” pre-fight favourite and that is the undefeated Evan Dunham (-240). I’m going to stick my neck out and say it may be worth placing a value bet on Sean Sherk (+190). The full Sean Sherk Vs Evan Dunham Odds can be found below.

Bodog.Com;
Dunham – (-220)
Sherk – (+180)

SportsBook.Com;
Dunham – (-240)
Sherk – (+190)

The fifth and final fight of the UFC 119 main card is a lightweight bout between Melvin Guillard and Jeremy Stephens. Guillard is a MMA veteran despite still being only 27 years old. He has 35 fights under his belt with 24 victory’s and 14 coming by way of knockout. Stephens has had 23 fights, with 18 victory’s and 13 by knockout. If I had to put my money on one fighter I would go with Stephens who is coming in to the fight as the underdog a complete listing of the Guillard Vs Stephens Odds.

Bodog.Com;
Guillard - (-170)
Stephens - (+140)

SportsBook.Com;
Guillard - (-175)
Stephens - (+145)

The sixth fight of the UFC 119 fight card, and the first of the “preliminary card” is an encounter between the American C.B Dolloway and Canadian Joe Doerksen. Dolloway has 12 fights under his belt with 10 victorys his only losses being to Amir Saddolah, in the final of TUF7 and to Tom Lawlor, both by Submission. Incidentally Doerksen has a victory over Lawlor and is still seen as a big underdgog in this fight. Doerksen is a submission specialist with 33 of his 46 MMA victorys coming by way of submission. Here are the eagerly anticipated Dolloway Vs Doerksen Odds;

Bodog.Com
Dolloway – (-325)
Doerksen – (+250)

The second fight to be broadcast on Spike TV pits Matt Mitrione Vs Joey Beltran in a heavyweight battle. Mitrione took part in the ultimate fighter 10 heavyweight series in which he reached the quarter finals before losing to James McSweeney. Beltran is much more experienced in comparison to Mitrione who has only 2 fights to his name. This looks to be an exciting fight as both are heavy handed and a win here could do both fighters a lot of good. Mitrione is still undefeated in his two fights whilst Beltran is entering the octagon with a 3 fight winning streak. Below is the latest odds.

Bodog.Com
Mitrione – (-145)
Beltran – (+115)
