With less then a Month until UFC 150 begins odds for 3 of the main card bouts have been released so we’ll post them up here for you to view and ponder. As we always say it is best to monitor odds from when they are initially released until just before the fight begins, if you don’t do this you are leaving so much value on the table! You may be surprised how often a fighter will open as a small underdog and end up entering the octagon as the favourite.

UFC 150 Odds will change dramatically from the time they are released as bookmakers often overestimate (or underestimate) a fighters chances of winning so these are adjusted based on the amount of bets they take, they then alter the odds based on this. Note that we have also worked out the implied probability of each fighter winning (based on the betting ufc 150 odds on offer)

You can find all of the latest UFC 150 Odds at Bovada.Lv which is our top recommended UFC 150 betting site. Edgar – (+135) @ Bovada.Lv [42.5% Chance Of Winning]

Above are the latest UFC 150 Henderson Vs Edgar II Odds. Henderson originally opened at around -175, so little has changed here. Edgar opened around the +125 mark, so again there is little movement and the bookmakers seem to have priced this fight well.

Ed Herman Vs Jake Shields Odds

Herman – (+145) @ Bovada.Lv [40% Chance Of Winning]
Shields – (-175) @ Bovada.Lv [63% Chance Of Winning]

Herman opened at odds of +170, before moving as low as +100. He has now settled at +145. Shields was available at -140 before moving to -230 and is currently sitting at the -175 mark.

Rousimar Palhares Vs Yushin Okami Odds

Okami – (-250) @ Bovada.Lv [71% Chance Of Winning]

Odds on a Palhares victory have ranged from the opening line of +175 before shifting to +210 and now to +195. Okami’s odds opened at -245 and were adjusted to -270 before moving to the current -250 line.

Ivan Menjivar is a true veteran of the sport, having fought some of its biggest names throughout his long career. In 2010, he was finally brought over to the WEC, where he suffered a close decision loss to current contender Brad Pickett. Now in the UFC, Menjivar has gone a cool 3-0, with stoppages over John Albert and Charlie Valencia, and a close decision win over Nick Pace. A win here, and Menjivar is probably one win away from a title shot.

Latest Ivan Menjivar vs Mike Easton Odds;

Manjivar – (-105) @ Bovada.Lv
Easton – (-125) @ Bovada.Lv

Mike Easton is potentially best known for his decision robbery win over former WEC champion Chase Beebe, however he’s a lot more than that. He scored a solid win over John Dodson outside of the UFC, and since joining the promotion, has gone 2-0, beating Jared Papazian in a slugfest, and finishing Byron Bloodworth with a brutal knee to the body. A win over Menjivar will likely be his biggest name to date.

To be perfectly honestly, I actually don’t like either guy. I don’t think either is a particularly great striker or wrestler, and neither is particularly great on the ground. Menjivar is winning his fights based off of smart gameplanning, relatively favorable matchmaking, and just solid veteran gamesmanship. Easton has been winning his fights based on his physical size advantages.

So, what should be the difference maker in this fight? Personally, I believe it will be Easton’s athleticism, combined with the fact that he doesn’t take too many risks. Menjivar nearly lost to Albert until Albert made a couple of crucial mistakes, and I personally scored the Pace fight against him. Easton on the other hand won’t give up a lead once he has it.

The Ivan Menjivar vs Mike Easton prediction is that Easton uses his size to win an uneventful, but lopsided decision, by controlling Menjivar against the fence. Really though, I don’t have a ton of confidence in this pick, but I’m willing to play it small at even odds, if only because Menjivar has been scraping by fighters weaker than Easton.

Ivan Menjivar vs Mike Easton Odds Betting Odds Conclusion: Menjivar’s best performance in the last couple of years was a split decision loss to Pickett, and Easton’s physicality should be too much. Given the current Ivan Menjivar vs Mike Easton Odds (-125) Easton is worthy of a small (3 unit) play. Bet Easton now at Bovada.Lv!

Cung Le is a San Shou and kickboxing legend (re: old), who found a ton of success in the Strikeforce promotion. He would win the title only to vacate it shortly thereafter to avoid a fight with Jake Shields, and suffered a shocking loss to Scott Smith. Thankfully, Le avenged the Smith loss, and over a year later made his UFC debut against Wanderlei Silva. In that fight, he controlled much of the first round, only for Silva to catch him with strikes in the second frame, and finish him. Now, Le is looking for his first UFC win.

Cung Le vs Patrick Cote Odds;

Cung Le – (+180) @ Bovada.Lv
Patrick Cote – (-230) @ Bovada.Lv

After losing to Travis Lutter at the end of TUF 4, very few expected big things out of Patrick Cote. Instead, he managed to work his way to a title shot, only to suffer a knee injury in the third round against Anderson Silva. After some time off, he finally returned, only to lose consecutive one sided bouts to Alan Belcher and Tom Lawlor. Since then, he’s managed to rack up multiple wins outside of the promotion, and is now taking this fight as a (relatively) late replacement for Rich Franklin.

We’ve got two strikers here, and while Le is probably the better wrestler, I don’t see this one hitting the ground.

Despite both of them being strikers, they couldn’t be any different. Le throws a high volume of flashy and spinning kicks, sparingly using punches, albeit his hands aren’t that bad. Cote on the other hand is the total opposite. He’s not a great boxer, doesn’t throw a ton of kicks, but rather relies on his big one punch power, which has served him well against the likes of Kendall Grove and Drew McFedries.

The Patrick Cote vs Cung Le prediction is that the two engage in a standup battle, with Cote getting the knockout finish. Le is simply too old, and Cote has never had problems with his chin. With that said, it’s not outside the realm of possibilities that Le picks Cote apart, or even knocks Cote out with a head or body shot. Le has in fact looked good in all of his fights, and if he sucks Cote into his game, he could very well score his first UFC win. For that reason, at the +180 price, I actually like a tiny/small play on Le.

Cung Le vs Patrick Cote Odds Conclusion: Cote has the age, but given the two should be engaging in a striking battle, Cung Le is worth a tiny/small (2 Unit) play at +200.

Below are the latest Cung Le vs Patrick Cote Odds. If you are looking to bet on this fight or any of the other UFC 148 fights we suggest betting at Bovada.Lv which is our top recommended UFC Sportsbook.

Demian Maia started out his UFC career as the division’s premier submission artist. However, following a loss to Nate Marquardt, and with the exception of the Dan Miller fight, Maia has been content to keep all of his fights standing. While he looked decent against Mark Munoz standing, he looked shameful most recently against Chris Weidman, and with a loss there, he’s now moving down to welterweight to reinvigorate his career.

Current Demian Maia vs Dong Hyun Kim Odds;

Maia – (+100) @ Bovada.Lv
Kim – (-130) @ Bovada.Lv

Dong Hyun Kim is arguably the best takedown artist in the UFC welterweight division. He scored controlling wins over Amir Sadollah and Nate Diaz to set up a big with Carlos Condit. Despite scoring an early takedown, Condit managed to reverse and get to his feet, where he served Kim with his first (official) loss with a brutal flying knee. In his return bout, Kim showed that he’d been working his standup with an easy win over Sean Pierson. A win over Maia should put him right back into contention, if he isn’t already.

You always have to be weary when someone changes a weight class as you just don’t know if they’re going to impress, or look awful. Regardless, I still feel pretty confident that this fight is easy to call. Despite improvements in his wrestling, I don’t believe Maia has the ability to bring Kim down. Further, despite “improvements” to his striking, I don’t think Maia can win the striking exchanges either. He may be able to land occasional big shots, but I think overall Kim has demonstrated himself to be the cleaner striker, which will be facilitated by his reach advantage.

Further, even if Maia is able to hurt Kim standing, Kim always has the ability to score points by putting Maia on his back. Yes, that’s a dangerous place to be, but Kim has always shown solid posture inside the guard, and should be able to negate anything Maia throws at him.

The Demian Maia vs Dong Hyun Kim betting prediction is that Kim controls Maia standing, ultimately knocking him out late in the fight. I really expect Maia’s striking to let him down here, and Kim has repeatedly shown himself to be a very self-aware fighter with smart gameplanning. I’m loving the current Kim odds at -130, and I’m suggesting a moderate sized bet. Let’s hope I don’t get buried on it!

Demian Maia vs Dong Hyun Kim Betting Odds Conclusion: Kim is a better striker and wrestler and should be able to keep this standing to knock out the sloppy Maia. Looking at the current Demian Maia vs Dong Hyun Kim Odds I have to recommend a bet on Kim at -130 with a moderate (5 Units) sized bet.

Usually trilogies have an epic quality to them. This is not one of those trilogies.

Forrest Griffin shocked the world to become light heavyweight champion, however after falling to Rashad Evans, he’s never quite been the same. He narrowly edged out Tito Ortiz at 106, and scored a solid win against Rich Franklin at 127, however he was finished quickly by Shogun in his most recent performance which just screamed no motivation. It is incredibly unlikely that Griffin sees a title shot ever again, and retirement seems like a possibility with a loss here.

Current UFC 148 Forrest Griffin vs Tito Ortiz Odds;

Griffin – (-325) @ Bovada.Lv
Ortiz – (+250) @ Bovada.Lv

With Tito Ortiz, retirement is a fact with a win or loss. The former champion somehow kept his career alive with an unbelievable upset over Ryan Bader last year, however the Cinderella story wasn’t meant to be as knees to the body saw him crumble against Rashad Evans and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. While he didn’t look categorically bad in either fight, those losses have barred him from relevancy.

Stylistically, I think we’re almost guaranteed to see a striking battle. Ortiz was probably the stronger wrestler at one point, but now I think they’re both at a point in their careers where scoring takedowns against each other seems pretty likely. It’s entirely possible Ortiz looks to bring things to the ground, but I seriously doubt it.

Standing up, who knows how to call this. Griffin has always been great at looking active, and his leg kicks are actually pretty solid. Ortiz has never been an elite level striker, however he’s put a lot of time into his striking over the last couple of years, and his hands may be able to edge out Griffin.

The Forrest Griffin vs Tito Ortiz prediction is that Griffin narrowly edges Ortiz in a primarily standup fight. A finish seems very unlikely, but like their second fight, this should be pretty close. Further, if either guy is likely to score the knockout, it’s probably Ortiz, albeit his susceptibility to body shots as of late has been a little suspect. Whether I’m willing to play Griffin at the -325 price? No chance. If anything, the value is on Ortiz at +250, although you always look like a genius or an idiot after putting money on him.

UFC 148 Forrest Griffin vs Tito Ortiz Betting Odds Conclusion: Ortiz is an auto-fade, but Griffin is no spring chicken, and an Ortiz upset isn’t out of the question. I’ll make a tiny value play (1pt bet) at +250, expecting to lose my bet.

I don’t know whether Anderson Silva is the best pound for pound fighter on the planet, but his resume is unmatched. At 14-0 in the UFC, with an unprecedented eight title defenses, Silva is the most accomplished fighter in UFC history. Everyone on paper is a horrible stylistic matchup for him, however with a few exceptions, Silva has dispatched them all with relative ease in spectacular finishes. Except Chael Sonnen.

Current UFC 148 Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen Odds;

Silva – (-300) @ Bovada.Lv (Up To $100 In Free UFC 148 Bets)
Sonnen – (+240) @ Bovada.Lv (Up To $100 In Free UFC 148 Bets)

For a long time Chael Sonnen was viewed as a middle of the pack guy, but nobody really considered him a serious contender. It wasn’t until he dominated Yushin Okami that people started paying attention, and it wasn’t until after he beat Nate Marquardt that people actually recognized him as a title threat. Going into his first fight with Silva, he talked a ton of trash, and backed every word of it up in the ring, dominating Silva for 23 minutes, until Silva caught him in a triangle choke. An immediate rematch was planned, however due to a failed drug test, Sonnen was forced to fight Stann and Bisping first, and with wins in those fights, Sonnen has earned the title shot once again.

As previously mentioned, everyone on paper is a bad matchup for Silva. His wrestling isn’t that great, and anyone who employs a wrestling oriented strategy has a decent shot of beating him. The problem is nobody so far has been able to do that in the UFC, except Chael Sonnen. Sonnen took Silva down at will for five rounds, and even got the better of the standing exchanges in the first round. The question for analysis is, is there any reason to believe this time will be any different? There has been talk of a Silva rib injury in the first fight, but rib injury or not, I’m not persuaded. Sonnen is an elite level wrestler who knows how to take guys down, and Silva’s wrestling just isn’t up to par. Therefore, I strongly expect Sonnen to score takedowns each he manages to clinch.

Interestingly enough, despite the fact that a good 50% of what Sonnen says is nonsense, he called his first fight perfectly. He said Silva has five chances to catch him standing, or find a way to submit him on the ground. And the reality is, it’s the same fight this time.

The Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen prediction is that Sonnen grinds Silva away early, only for Silva to catch him with a strike midway that turns the tide, allowing Silva to finish the fight late. Would I play it at -300? Absolutely not. We all saw the first fight, and to say Sonnen doesn’t have a legitimate chance of winning this is ridiculous. At +240, I would gladly play Sonnen small. He has all the tools to do what he did last time for 25 minutes, and a finish isn’t even out of the question.

Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen Betting Odds Conclusion: Silva’s aura makes him the pick, as he’s one kick away from ending this fight, but Sonnen has to be played small at the current price of +240 ($100 wins $240!)

Grab Sonnen at +240 while it lasts at Bovada.Lv

Nate Diaz has been a top guy in the lightweight division since a controversial loss to Gray Maynard in 2010. He would venture unsuccessfully to the welterweight class, however since returning to lightweight he has looked fantastic. He dominated Takanori Gomi in his return using his superior boxing, and in his most recent fight, he upset the surging Donald Cerrone by again using the patented Diaz volume punching style. A win here will very likely get him a title shot.

Latest Nate Diaz vs Jim Miller Betting Odds;

Diaz – (+180) @ Bovada.Lv
Miller – (-220) @ Bovada.Lv

Riding a seven fight winning streak including big wins over Mark Bocek, Gleison Tibau, and Charles Oliveira, Jim Miller seemed to be on the verge of a title shot. That would be derailed however as he was handled by Benson Henderson for three rounds, however with Henderson now holding the belt, that doesn’t look so bad. Since the loss, Miller has rebounded with a submission win over Melvin Guillard, and a win here will likely get him a rematch with Henderson or Edgar.

Stylistically this one is really tough to call. What exactly is Miller good at? His wrestling is average, his striking is average at best, and his biggest strengths are probably his submission game, his cardio, and his lack of risk taking.

Diaz is a very different fighter, but unlike Miller, he’s shown a lot of recent improvement. His wrestling is non existent, his submission game is above average, and his striking is really where he’s shined as of late.

I feel pretty confident in saying that if this fight remains standing, Diaz should hold a pretty heavy advantage. However, if Miller can take Diaz down, I think Miller should be able to rack up points for a decision. A submission seems unlikely either way unless one guy gets hurt.

Can Miller take Diaz down? Three years ago I’d have no problem saying yes, as Diaz was easily taken down by his opponents then. However we really haven’t seen Diaz’ takedown defense tested in his last three fights, and Miller is far from an elite wrestler.

The Jim Miller vs Nate Diaz prediction is that Miller outpoints Diaz in a five round war, mixing up takedowns to earn a close decision win. However I honestly think it’s almost as likely that Diaz keeps this standing and lights Miller up en route to a decision win of his own, or a stoppage midway through the fight. For that reason, despite the fact that I have a slight lean to Miller, I think a tiny play is warranted on Diaz at the current +180 odds.

Nate Diaz vs Jim Miller Betting Odds Conclusion: This is a really tough fight to call, and who knows what to make of the fact that it’s 5 rounds. Play Diaz tiny (1 Unit Bet) or stay away entirely!

Eddie Yagin scored big wins in the TPF promotion over Casey Olson and a huge upset over Joe Soto to get his invite into the UFC. His first fight however would be disastrous as he took on the highly underrated Junior Assuncao, and Yagin would be outstruck by the rangier fighter, and was easily taken down repeatedly en route to a dominant decision loss. Despite the loss, Yagin is being given another chance in the UFC, and it’s not one the promotion expects him to win.

Current Eddie Yagin vs Mark Hominick Odds;

Yagin – (+375) @ Bovada.Lv
Hominick – (-550) @ Bovada.Lv

Mark Hominick has had some ups and downs in his career, but after a dominant win over George Roop, Hominick received the biggest opportunity of his career with a title shot against Jose Aldo. In the title fight, Hominick would be beaten up early on, but nearly finished Aldo in the final round to actually give the champion his first real challenge, leading many to be hyped for a potential rematch. However it wasn’t meant to be, as Hominick would be knocked out in six seconds in his return bout against Chan Sung Jung, and now Hominick needs to start rebuilding.

There’s no other way to say this, the UFC expects Hominick to knock Yagin out, and so does everyone else. I do too, but I think the -650 price is way out of line. I hope to convince you why.

While many consider it ridiculous that Hominick was only awarded a split decision against Leonard Garcia, the fight was in fact much closer than many remember. Further, Hominick’s other impressive win against Yves Jabouin was against a natural bantamweight. Really Hominick’s only impressive win of late was against George Roop, and while Roop has had some good performances, he was recently knocked out by Cub Swanson. Finally, while Hominick did make a fight out of it with Aldo, the general consensus is that Aldo was sick, which contributed to the champion fading in the final round.

Hominick’s striking aside, he’s also shown an Achilles heel throughout his career in his ground game. He was choked out by Rani Yahya and Josh Grispi, neither of whom are considered top fighters. While I wouldn’t exactly classify Yagin as a submission fighter, he did submit Joe Soto, and so it’s always on the table.

The Mark Hominick vs Eddie Yagin prediction is that Hominick easily outstrikes Yagin en route to a late knockout. Should you play the -550 line? Absolutely not. Hominick hasn’t looked dominant enough to warrant a line like that against anyone, and there’s nothing about this stylistic matchup which suggests he’s going to dominate. I don’t believe Yagin is a world beater, but I think his stock has been unfairly hurt with his loss to Junior Assuncao, when the reality is that Assuncao is just a great fighter.

Eddie Yagin vs Mark Hominick Betting Odds Conclusion: Eddie Yagin’s mom thinks Mark Hominick is going to win this one, but I can’t recommend a play on the -550 line.

Ben Rothwell came into the UFC with little hype, but was quickly thrown to a wolf by the name of Cain Velasquez. After the dominant loss, he bounced back with a controlling win over Gilbert Yvel. Since then, he’s only fought once more, an upset loss to Mark Hunt which saw Rothwell unable to impose his wrestling as he lost a brutal decision.

Current Ben Rothwell vs Brendan Schaub Odds;

Rothwell – (+220) @ Bovada.Lv
Schaub – (-280) @ Bovada.Lv

With wins over Mirko Filipovic and Gabriel Gonzaga, it seemed Brendan Schaub was on the road to being the next big heavyweight contender. However this would come to a crashing end at UFC Brazil as Schaub would be knocked out in the first round by MMA legend Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in a shocking upset to many. With the loss, Schaub is now looking to bounce back and get on the winning track.

Stylistically this fight could go several ways. The two could oblige each other in a standup battle, or Schaub could elect to take Rothwell to the ground. It’s entirely possible that Rothwell could attempt to take Schaub to the ground, but it seems incredibly unlikely.

In a standup contest, both guys are unquestionably heavy hitters, and Rothwell’s chin has historically been able to absorb a bit more punishment. However, I would argue that Schaub has generally looked a bit more polished in his striking, if only evidenced by his performance against Gonzaga.

Ultimately, both guys represent different problems with the heavyweight division in MMA. Rothwell represents the general lack of depth, and Schaub represents the fact that any decently athletic individual can be successful. In the present heavyweight landscape, being a little athletic goes a long way, and for that reason one has to favour Schaub here.

The Ben Rothwell vs Brendan Schaub prediction is that Schaub imposes his wrestling to score takedowns and ground and pound Rothwell for a division. I think Schaub’s recent knockout loss will make him a little gunshy, and so I don’t expect him to come out looking to stand and bang, plus I have to think he’ll respect Rothwell’s power. At the -280 price, I’m actually really liking Schaub here, and have to recommend a small to moderate play, as Rothwell is just not on the same level.

Ben Rothwell vs Brendan Schaub Betting Odds Conclusion: Brendan Schaub could get knocked out, but I honestly see this as an easy win. At -280, play it small to moderate.
